Subway Shemeries
The Mets are hurt. The Mets are tired. The Mets are lost. But I still root and I still believe. It's just somedays are harder than others. Nick Evans looked great against the Cards. I was there when he hit his first home run of the season. 5 at bats and I'm ready to trade Fernando Martinez, or am I? Is Omar a genius? Pull up the hot Nick Evans and take all the eyes away from F Mart. Than trade the hot Evans for a Hot Adam Dunn. Boom. Now we have Adam Dunn, and then send F Mart back down to the farm so next year, he will be really ready. Let's hope. For Omar's sake. He's good. But he didn't draft Wright or Reyes, that was all Steve Phillips, who was so heart broken by his firing, that he quit baseball. Maybe if asked right he could come back and save his once future team. He lead us to the World Series, with Bobby V, Piazza, Leiter, Agbyani, Flyod, and many other great Mets of yesteryear. Omar has lead us to disaster after disaster. So the record speaks for itself. I still believe, I love the Mets. I root for the colors, and I root for the memories, and I root for them. Let's go Mets!

To boldly go where?
I did it. I saw Star Trek (2009). I laughed, I cried, I learned. The first 20 mins. were so engrossing. I cried at the part where you were supposed to. It was so cool looking, and the dialog was very real feeling and natural. Now as for Kirk, a little to EXTREME! He was suicidal and psychotic. I was not digging the Kirk. Spock had me at hello. I'm a sucker for Sylar and that's that. He was so cool as Spock, totally the best choice. Good casting. Everybody else was good as well. All roles totally fit and yet they were all a little different and special unto themselves. Story...a bit shaky. I mean c'mon with the time travel. It's like J.J. Abrams saw Back to the Future as a 13 year old little nerd with his D and D friends on the Friday that it came out, and when he came out of the theater he said "I'm gonna make movies!" Which is totally cool, just don't make Back to the Future 15 times. I love Lost. I liked Star Trek, but lest us not forget the one called Mission Impossible III. (pause) I want you to think about it for a moment. Think how bad it was. Now ask yourself this, "Was it bad because there was no Time Travel?" Did I just blow your mind? TRUTH BOMB. BOOM!
Well let's wrap it up. Star Trek 3 out 5 stars. 5 being There Will Be Blood, 1 being Ghost of Girlfriends Past.

If you are hearing this, you are the resistance
Today was the new Judgement day. T4 as i like to call it, was dropped today. Saw it at the 5-10 matinee, didn't feel like spending 25 dollars and having hated the movie. But I spent 15 and it was pretty good. Forget the infinite ammo, or the shinning white teeth of the wasteland refugees, or even the all of a sudden bullets can stop Terminators, it was an interesting story, with decent cast, decent sets, and almost nice cinematography. No spoilers here so do not worry. But there is a scene with John Conner in a helicopter that is crashing, and the camera work was greatly appreciated. There were not a lot of people there for opening day 5-10 show. Now, it was a Thursday and it was right after "work" for most common folk. Speaking of Common! Were they for real? Common? And (not a spoiler) the only brotha's brother died! C'mon! Poor future African-Americans. Common is the last male brotha in the Southern California area. There were some sistas but not for him. Anyways....The music was good, not like part three where they didn't use the original theme. It's like isn't that why its called a theme? If there are Terminators than there must be the Terminator theme nearby. And there is word on the street that Thom Yorke of Radiohead was at some point some how attached to this film. I'm not sure how, but even knowing that he was thought of shows that there might be some thing behind McG. McGruber? McGayver? What ever. The movie was good. If you got 7 dollars 50 cents that you can live with out, see it. If not, wait for the DVD and rent it at the redbox for 1 dolla, holla!

Who is running these networks?
All my life I have been watching TV and learning and loving it. Now in a quarter of a century with it so much has changed. It's not my same friend that I would run off the bus everyday after school to be with. It's not the one who late at night in my bed all alone scared of the dark would keep the monsters at bay. It's not. It has started to turn into one of those monsters. It hurts my heart when I have to leave the room because after flipping threw the channels for 15 minuets I still found nothing but Malcolm in the Middle reruns and Bernie Mac (god rest his soul). Full House and Fresh Prince. This is not hell, this is actual reality. These are the shows that have been deemed worthy enough to be shown 10 times a day on 10 channels all around the country? REALLY? Who is making these decision's? Clearly not some one or some thing, that enjoys watching television. Who wants to watch the same show on 5 channels? CSI, CSI Miami, CSI NY, NCIS, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order Criminal Intent. Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, Real Wives of OC, Real Wives of NY, Real Wives of ATL. Law and Order used to actually mean something. Not it's just that show in reruns on TNT. No one knows that they make new ones on Wednesdays on NBC. But not now with Jay Leno coming 5 nights a week, at 10, for the kids to see? So he can bore them to sleep! He stinks. Johnny Carson is spinning in his grave. 4 tonight shows in one night? 10 jay, 1130 Conan, 1230 jimmy Fallon, 130 Carson daly? Four horsemen of the Apocalypse. This is not hell, this is actual reality. 4 white men are controlling our nocturnal viewing hours? But not just them either! 1130 David Letterman 1230 Craig Ferguson (who is the only good one) 12 jimmy kimmel, two Jimmy's!!! AHHH! There are good shows on amongst the ones I named. I like L&O CI, and I still like regular Law and Order. Other shows are good out there to. The Mentalist is good. Not great. On the verge of greatness, but they never actually take the leap. They are afraid they might lose some viewers. But what about the viewers they might gain? Take it to the edge. There is a reason it is on at 10. Its a show for adults by adults. If you don't like it don't watch. The networks are afraid of the that. HBO is not. If you don't like it is still on. True Blood stinks. But Other people like it so its still on. I just don't watch it. It's easy. So people that watch shows they don't even like are the problem. You have to start letting you tv be your friend again. Places like Hulu.com help. They make it so the tv is always there. One click away. All your old friends, and some new ones. And you don't have to watch the ones you dont like. all you watch are the ones that you do like. it is a great thing. It is the what i beleive to be the first step back even though it is the first step forward to.
